Easy Garlic Green Beans

Quick and easy garlic green beans are a perfect side dish, but you might snack it up before it reaches the table.

This might just be the easiest green bean recipe there ever was. With only five ingredients, two steps and twenty minutes, you have the perfect side dish for just about any dinner recipe you are making.

We especially love serving this recipe with Meatloaf or Ranch Oven Baked Pork Chops, but honestly it really just goes well with anything!

Ingredients to Make Garlic Green Beans:

  • fresh green beans
  • vegetable broth
  • garlic cloves
  • butter
  • salt and pepper

How to Make Garlic Green Beans:

  1. In a large sauce pan combined green beans, vegetable broth and garlic. Cook until broth is cooked down to nothing.
  2. Add the butter in the pan and toss before dishing up. Season as needed with salt and pepper.

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds fresh green beans
  • 2 cups vegetable broth
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • In a large sauce pan combined green beans, vegetable broth and garlic. Cook until broth is cooked down to nothing.
  • Add the butter in the pan and toss before dishing up. Season as needed with salt and pepper.

Notes

  • Be sure to salt the beans well – it’s amazing what enough salt can do for the natural deliciousness of green beans.
  • If all the vegetable stock is cooked away and you’d like more tender green beans, just add more broth until they are cooked to your desired tenderness.
  • Omit the butter if you’d like it Paleo, and use Ghee instead for Whole 30.
