  • 2 lb fresh green beans (1kg)
  • 2 cups vegetable broth
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 2 tablespoon butter
  • to taste salt and pepper


  • Chuck everything in a pan (exceptthe butter) and cook until the broth is soaked up/evaporated. Usually takes about 5 to 1-10 minutes and leaves you with crisp-tender beans.
  • Plop the butter in the pan and toss before dishing up.


Tips and Tricks:

1. Be sure to salt the beans well - it’s amazing what enough salt can do for the natural deliciousness of green beans.
2. If all the vegetable stock is cooked away and you’d like more tender green beans, just add more broth until they are cooked to your desired tenderness.
3. Omit the butter if you’d like it Paleo, and use Ghee instead for Whole 30.
