A few months ago, I fell in love with tapas. Or more specifically – tapas restaurants, which there are an abundance of where I live. The plates are small, so you get to taste a lot of different foods. It’s social, because you share. What’s not to love about it?

Even though I love the tapas restaurants, their food isn’t very healthy. But that doesn’t matter. I can make my own! If you want to serve some healthier tapas for your family or friends, take your pick from these 10 Low-Carb Tapas…

    • Hi Micheal. Yes, fruits and vegetables contain carbs. There are good carbs and bad carbs. We do not use any processed and refined carbs in our recipes (the bad kind). But since there is such a wide difference in what people consider low carb, we are currently rebranding as a “whole food” blog to avoid getting constant negative feedback for difference of opinion.

      • No such thing as a good or bad carb you Beavis. A carb is a carb. Please tell me you are not giving people real advice. If you eat LC, ANY carb is counted.

        • Hey Jim “Butthead” (since we’re in the spirit of calling names haha). Nowhere do we claim to be medical professionals giving nutritional advice. We are just regular people cooking up recipes at home and sharing it for fun! BUT maybe just do a little extra research. Not all carbs are created equal. A close family member of mine has type-1 diabetes and eating a piece of bread compared to eating beans or a potato with the exact same carb level does two very different things to their body and the insulin spikes it creates. But of course, everyone’s body reacts different and if you don’t like the recipes we share, don’t use them.
